Another impactful initiative is the sewing training program, which has been running since 2003 in five different areas. With over 1500 pass-outs, this program provides women with practical skills in sewing and garment production. Through this training, women acquire the skills to design and create fashionable clothing and accessories, thereby opening up opportunities for entrepreneurship and financial independence.
These training programs are designed to be both affordable and accessible to women with limited educational backgrounds. At the end of each training session, participants are awarded a certificate that recognizes their accomplishments and validates their skills.
Collectively, these initiatives contribute to women’s empowerment by breaking barriers, providing employment opportunities, and enabling women to become financially independent and self-reliant. By equipping women with practical skills and knowledge, AIM is playing a significant role in fostering gender equality and creating a more inclusive society.
